There are no politicians who do not colour their manifestos with emblems of hope. But many times, this hope remains a ‘make-believe’ and a feeling in people’s minds. Several organizations like the United Nations

have been doing well in raising hope in people. Sometimes they strike a balance, sometimes circumstances turn out to be hopeless. Other times in raising hope in the people, doubts build up much more and you hear remarks like “there is no hope” and “it is a hopeless situation”.

Christ has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace (2 Thes 2.16). Ultimately, Christ is our hope from His personality as the Saviour to his personality as the King and governor of all nations— the soon-coming King.

…Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope” (1 Tim 1:1).

This is what we sing about and this is what we want to sing about. There is hope for you in God’s promises— in God’s Word, in Christ alone.
